first of all mary kate & ashley olsen are now 26-years-old, which makes me feel hella old, considering i clearly remember them as babies, but i digress…
the billion dollar twins’ label, the row, is extremely pricey, in general, but this prescription pill covered bag is way #toomanythings at a whopping $55k! the bags are black patent leather nile crocodile (damn), and co-designed by damien hirst.
businessinsider.com is reporting the following details:
“each bag is crafted in italy and includes features like an internal detachable handle, adjustable canvas straps, internal zip-fastening, slit pockets, small gold-plated brass feet at base, a metal mirror plate and case, and designer-stamped gold-plated brass hardware signed by hirst…”
only 12 backpacks will be manufactured, and i am sure that this level exclusivity, alone, will have them flying off the shelves. the only redeeming quality i can see here is that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to unicef, although it isn’t clear exactly how much.
nonetheless, clearly if you have $55k to drop on a book bag will pills glued all over it, money ain’t a thang, so rock on, boo…
but i am calling “hautemess” on this one.
