how to deal with those who are judgmental about your divorce
i experienced a few people who were all judgy-wudgy when i announced that i was leaving my marriage. most of them were in crappy marriages, and kind of turned their noses up because i didn’t “stick it out”…one even told me i “…wasn’t cut out for marriage…” because i didn’t suffer in misery. whatevs. martyrdom is for the birds. luckily, i had a lot of really great friends and family that supported me and my decision.
this video is short and to the point, but offers some really good advice on how to deal with those who are less than supportive about your divorce.
the bottom line is: no one has to walk in your shoes, except for you. and you don’t owe anyone an explanation about the decisions you make. period.
